| Contents: | This charming comedy drama is a triptych about a drifter who exerts an almost magical impact on everyone he meets. Veteran South African actor Siegfried Mynhardt portrays the title character Dr. Kalie, bringing his trademark warmth and believability to a challenging role. In the film´s first section, Kalie helps a young boy realise his ambition of giving his beloved grandmother the kitchen of her dreams. In part two Kalie plays Cupid by throwing together a rich bachelor and a flower child.
In the third and concluding section Kalie helps his estranged son see that, in order to succeed in business and in love, he needs to look at life through the eyes of a child. Wondrous though his actions and advice are, Kalie has a secret and very little helper: his undeniably adorable little dog, which plays a major inter-linking role in the lives of all the human characters.
