Born Sixto Diaz Rodriguez in Detroit, Rodriguez had been almost completely overlooked by record buyers, despite garnering much critical acclaim from music journalists for his first album Cold Fact, and had subsequently disappeared from the music scene altogether.

However, unbeknownst to the musician or his representatives, while the US may not have warmed to his music, overseas in places like Australia and South Africa, he was a huge success, due in part to Cold Fact’s anti-establishment viewpoint.

Years later, with his untimely death the subject of unconfirmed by widely-held belief, two fans in South Africa stumble upon an astonishing fact that sets them off on the journey to uncover the secrets of their hero’s life.
